Aim of this agreement is to establish cooperation between the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Platform CiviKos in regard to procedure issues for public procurement, consumer protection and quality infrastructure.
Minister Bajrami stated that the agreement is important and opening doors to civil society to contribute on MTI legal frame, in monitoring legislation implementation connected to the observation of procedures application in procurement, consumer protection rights and quality infrastructure, and thus providing full transparency during the whole process and accountability with respect to the implementation of legal responsibilities that belong to MTI jurisdiction. Further, the minister pointed out that the involvement of civil society in monitoring the above mentioned activities is important for ensuring good governance, sustainable and effective service delivery to the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
On the other side, Valdete Idrizi said "that the signing of this agreement is a direct contribution on implementation of the cooperation strategy between the state administrative institutions on one side and civil society on the other side." Also, Mrs. Idris said that for many years the civil society sector has raised its voice in seeking transparency. "We are interested to advance cooperation with state institutions in order to increase the citizens' credibility toward public institutions," she said.
