Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Faton Thaçi, hosted at the meeting with the French Attaché to Kosovo, Joseph Giustiniani.
Deputy Minister Thaçi and Attaché Giustiniani spoke about the possibility of expanding the economic cooperation between Kosovo and France and the possibility of providing the French state's expertise to Kosovo.
Also in the meeting they discussed about the finalization of the initiative taken for geographical indications, respectively Sharra cheese, they also discussed on the importance of organizing a joint forum between the French Embassy and MTI in regard to investment for attracting investors in Kosovo.
Thaci informed the Attaché on the Business climate created in Kosovo for foreign investors upon the law on strategic investments is being approved, the law that removes bureaucracy.
Deputy Minister Thaçi mentioned the doing business reforms made by the ministry and publication of the Progress Report where is stated that MTI was one with best performance among the ministries.
They agreed to continue the cooperation between Kosovo and France.
Two important topics were discussed, with particular emphasis: 1. Finalization of the project for geographic indications – Sharri cheese, 2. French strategic investment in Kosovo – organization of a forum with French businesses for investment opportunities in Kosovo.
