Minister of Trade and Industry, Endrit Shala, today has changed the Administrative Instruction on the Placement of Flags, a change that does not allow that the products sold on the market have flags based on the barcode but based on the country of origin (there are cases where the origin flag is determined based on the barcode but has not been in accordance with the country of origin where the product was produced.
This came as a result of the costumer’s complaints, media and other relevant institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, due to the uncertainty about the origin of the product and the placement of flags near the products.
This supplement, amendment of the Administrative Instruction was done to clarify and eliminate any possibilities for manipulation by placing flags close to the price of the product.
