The Ministry of Trade and Industry, namely the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA) has organized the fair “Women in Business and Traditional Handicrafts”, which is attended by 32 businesses and associations of women entrepreneurs from different communities of Kosovo in the Municipality of Gjilan.
Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Arbëreshë Krasniqi has opened this fair, emphasizing that the ministry's objectives are the empowerment of women in business.
"We have the honour and the pleasure to attend today at the opening of the fair 'Women in Business and Handicrafts’ that is fully supported by MTI, respectively by KIESA, therefore we feel good that such businesses getting stronger and are being supported. MTI has its own objectives in supporting small and medium enterprises thus empowering economic development, the possibility of employment in Kosovo and definitely this is MTI's tireless work," said Krasniqi.
The Deputy Minister said that imposing the tax by the Minister of MTI, Endrit Shala has created room for the development of Kosovar businesses.
"Setting the tax on products of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina has given them the opportunity to directly empower the businesses in Kosovo. Therefore, doing business in Kosovo now is much easier and it is supported by relevant institutions and will have continuous opportunity to develop their activities ".
Krasniqi said that women in business can make miracles and they are always successful.
"I know it's hard, I know it requires engagement and activity, but I also know that where the woman is present the success will be present too. I feel good that MTI has supported women in business and it will continue to support them and all other businesses so that Kosovo develops more in economical aspect and gets easier possibilities to make business," said Krasniqi.
The fair will be open for three days and is already traditional.
