The Memorandum of Understanding between the Kosovo Business Registration Agency (KBRA) and the Central Register of the Republic of North Macedonia has been signed during the official ceremony, by which is aimed full co-operation in developing and expanding business registration systems between the two countries.
The General Director of KBRA, Nexhmie Selimi, emphasized that through this Memorandum of Cooperation we aim to fully cooperate between the two countries in order to promote and improve innovations as well as to strengthen our business registration systems. “We have found it necessary to have broader bilateral cooperation between the parties to strengthen our existing business registration systems, by creating a mechanism for regular exchange of information and best practices as well as to undertake other cooperative activities”, emphasized the director Selimi.
She added that this cooperation will enable the safeguarding of proper administration, protection and use of business registration rights in both countries, and at the same time this memorandum will open the way to all areas related to more advanced systems for business registration in general.
Whereas, the director of the Central Register in the Republic of Northern Macedonia, Maria Boskovska Jankofski, emphasized that one of our strategic activities is the creation of a Register of Real Property Owners in Legal Entities, where through this register, our institution will join in the fight against Money laundering and against the financing of terrorism, and will raise the level of transparency of financial circulation to a higher level.
“Hopefully this Memorandum of Understanding will help improve the business climate and economic development between the two countries, given that many legal entities or businesses are already operating and functioning on both sides,” said Maria. Boskovska Jankofski.
This memorandum helps to foster cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of North Macedonia, in addition to exchanging information on business registration, it will also deepen the cooperation in other areas of common interest to both countries.
