The Minister of Trade and Industry, Vesel Krasniqi, together with the Market Inspectorate of this ministry and the Metrology Agency, has visited a point of petroleum products, where samples were taken for measuring the quantity and for verifying the quality.
Minister Krasniqi announced that this visit is being made for the consumer protection, estimating that the products purchased must be of the European standards.
Krasniqi stressed that sampling will continue in the coming days, but also in other products.
"We were in the visit with the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the team from the Metrology Agency to take samples of petroleum products for quality and quantity verification. We will continue to take such samples in the coming days and at the same time the Market Inspectorate together with the Metrology Agency will increase the samples, doubling them and this always based on the protection of the consumer, which is one of the top my priorities ", said Minister Krasniqi.
The Minister said that the reason for the visit was to assure the citizens that the laws and standards are being implemented, but according to him, the assistance to local businesses and producers will also be important.
"I was personally today to assure the citizens of Kosovo that we are here to enforce the laws and to ensure the quality of petroleum products and also in quantity. We will also inspect other items to reassure consumers that our market offers products according to standards. Also, the support of local businesses and producers will be in parallel important and we will work hard to strengthen the business and the local producer ", said Krasniqi.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry will always be in support of businesses.
