The Minister of Trade and Industry, Vesel Krasniqi, received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy in Kosovo, Nicola Orlando, where they discussed the deepening of economic cooperation and the continuation of Italy’s support for Kosovo.
Minister Krasniqi thanked Ambassador Orlando for Italy's assistance to Kosovo since the end of the war, emphasizing the support in building the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.
Minister Krasniqi informed the Ambassador about the projects of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and the Law on Strategic Investments, which creates many facilities for potential investors who will invest in Kosovo.
The possibility of increasing Kosovo-Italy trade exchanges, especially in agricultural products, was also discussed at the meeting.
While Ambassador Orlando said that he expects the Government to work hard to increase transparency, strengthen the law and fight corruption.
He also stressed that Italy will continue to support Kosovo, confirming its interest in trade and investment between Kosovo and Italy.
