The Minister of Trade and Industry, Vesel Krasniqi received the Minister of Tourism and Environment of the Republic of Albania, Blendi Klosi, together with the Ambassador of this country in Prishtina, Qemal Minxhozi and the mayors of Vlora, Dritan Leli and Lezha Pjerin Ndreu.
Minister Krasniqi said that they discussed about a joint tourism package between Kosovo and Albania, for the summer to be spent in Albania and the winter in Kosovo.
The Minister said that both sides agreed to have a cooperation in the field of tourism and to use the beauty of Kosovo and Albania.
"I feel very honoured for the visit that was made to me for the first time by the Minister of Tourism and Environment of the Republic of Albania, Blendi Klosi, Ambassador Minxhozi and the mayors of municipalities Mr. Leli and Mr. Ndreu. Today in the joint meeting we discussed about tourism and the possibilities of a future cooperation. We agreed in the near future to make the seasonal opening of summer in Albania and sometime in late October or early November to make the opening of the winter tourism season in Kosovo. Both sides agreed to create a common platform of tourist spots of both countries. We are very grateful to the Albanian state that has welcomed us every time and we have always been served correctly on the Albanian coast. We are a nation and we have a lot in common and we will have in common all the tourist spots ", said Minister Krasniqi.
While Minister Klosi said that the Albanian sea belongs to all Albanians and the natural beauties and cultural heritage of Kosovo and Albania will be in a common package.
"I am very honoured today that I was on an official visit in Kosovo to discuss with Minister Mr. Krasniqi on tourism. As a new branch of the economy and an extraordinary promoter, the Albanian sea belongs to all Albanians. We have in common the Alps, the natural beauties and the cultural heritage and as such it will be a common tourist offer even in the problematic time of pandemic. We discussed with my colleague Krasniqi for having a joint tourist offer, which is offered not only to the so-called patriotic, a tourism that does not need to be promoted, but only needs to be offered ", said Minister Klosi.
