The Minister of Trade and Industry, Vesel Krasniqi, visited today the Municipality of Suhareka, together with the Deputy Prime Minister, Albulena Balaj-Halimi and together with the Mayor of Suhareka, Bali Muharremaj visited the Industrial Park in Shiroka of Suhareka
Minister Krasniqi also discussed with representatives of businesses operating in this park. In these meetings, the Minister informed the businesses with the plan of the Government of Kosovo for economic recovery, which according to him will help about 70 percent of businesses.
"The economic recovery plan aims to help businesses in order for them not to interrupt their operation in this time of pandemic. Both MTI and I as a minister will be supporters of businesses and especially local producers. Without a developed private sector, Kosovo cannot have a stable economy," stated Minister Krasniqi.
After the industrial zone, the Minister also visited the new road, which is being constructed and which will enable businesses to connect to the Industrial Zone without entering the city of Suhareka.
The Minister pledged that the works in this area will be completed according to the planned dynamic plan.
In the Industrial Zone in Shiroka of Suhareka, the Ministry of Trade and Industry has invested about € 2.5 million. There are 50 businesses with about 100 employees, while another 30 businesses are expected to be located there. This area is considered one of the best and largest areas in Kosovo, with an area of 162 hectares.
