The Minister of Trade and Industry, Vesel Krasniqi, reported to the Parliamentary Committee on Economy, Employment, Trade, Entrepreneurship and Strategic Investments, where he informed the members of the committee about the obligations, challenges and achievements of this ministry.
With special emphasis, Minister Krasniqi spoke about the fulfilment of the obligations of the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), in relation to the implementation of EU recommendations for 2021. For this he said that we are coherent and we are making efforts to implement these recommendations.
He informed the members of this commission about the achievements, planning, as well as the support of small and medium enterprises, where during this year subsidies of 1 million 234 thousand 634 euros have been allocated, and during this week are expected to be transferred in the accounts of women beneficiary businesses in the amount of 400 thousand euros.
Minister Krasniqi also informed the members of the commission about the drafting of a comparative analytical report on economic recovery for the impact of COVID-19 on the processing industry for the period 2019-2020, where he addressed the Office of the Prime Minister for inclusion in the Economic Recovery Package, adding that for 2021 are planned subsidies, from the budget of MTI, in the amount of 1 million 780 thousand euros.
Minister Krasniqi announced that “For 2021 are planned to be drafted 9 laws and 6 bylaws. To undertake concrete steps for increasing policy-making coordination capacity to implement industrial and commercial property rights in line with European legislation. And the main recommendation is the adoption of 5 laws. To ratify and implement the additional protocol of CEFTA, number 5, for trade facilitation, to ratify and implement the additional protocol, 6 – for trade in services ", said Krasniqi.
"Among the main challenges of this ministry, according to Minister Krasniqi, is the implementation of recommendations, due to the small budget that has been allocated for this ministry", said Krasniqi.
