Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mrs. Rozeta Hajdari, along with the senior advisor, Mrs. Leman Hatashi, received today the Ambassador of Hungary, Mr. József Bencze, accompanied by the attache for economic and trade affairs, Mrs. Kristina Szabó.
Minister Rozeta Hajdari informed the Hungarian Ambassador József Bencze on the ministry's priorities regarding the development of industry, entrepreneurship, improving the trade balance and progress for European integration, being grateful for the support of the Hungarian government through strengthening economic cooperation between Kosovo and Hungary. Given that the protection and care of investments are of particular importance for the socio-economic development of the country, Minister Hajdari added that the successful practices of the Hungarian government in promoting and increasing investment and exports are a good reference for the Kurti 2 government.
Agreeing for the importance of economic development in Kosovo, Hungarian Ambassador Bencze stressed the Hungarian assistance and work initiated by the Hungarian Embassy in 2017, in order to further expand cooperation between the two countries in various economic sectors, through the establishment of the Hungarian-Kosovar Joint Economic Commission. At the same time, Hungarian Ambassador Bencze expressed his satisfaction with the agreement of Prime Minister Kurti on the appointment of the Kosovo representative by the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade to the position of Co-Chair of the Hungarian-Kosovar Joint Economic Commission, which provides an excellent framework for development of bilateral economic cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and Hungary.
Both appreciated the good relations between the two countries and confirmed the readiness to deepen and expand cooperation through active participation in future co-chaired sessions with good cooperation and exchange of experiences between the Republic of Kosovo and Hungary in various economic sectors.
