The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MIET) through the Market Inspectorate has continued to inspect the bread weight, in order to protect the consumer, due to complaints we have received from the citizens of Kosovo.
During inspections in various entities and cities of the Republic of Kosovo, market inspectors have encountered irregularities regarding the discrepancy of bread weight.
Verifications were also made due to the fraud on bread weight and lack of declaration in some products. Therefore, for each case, were taken punitive measures in accordance with applicable laws. During these inspections, Market Inspectorate has imposed four fines.
Market Inspectorate, thanks all consumers who continue to address their complaints to the Consumer Protection Department at MIET and assures the citizens that it will be active in cooperation with market inspectors in the Municipalities.
Inspections will continue and in case irregularities are found, there will be punitive measures in accordance with applicable laws.
