The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mrs. Rozeta Hajdari, participated in the opening of the now traditional second Expo Sharri fair of local products.
Minister Hajdari stated that it is a special pleasure to see our lands and our local producers produce many quality products with great dedication, which are highly appreciated by local and international consumers.
At the event, Minister Hajdari informed the participants with great pleasure that for the first time in the history of Kosovo, in May of this year, the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade issued a decision to protect a local product, Sharri Cheese, as a Protected Designation of Origin, according to the Law on Geographical Indications and Designations of Origin.
Elaborating on the continuous support provided by the Government of Kosovo to local producers through various mechanisms, Minister Hajdari introduced the 2030 vision and the Industrial Policy instruments aimed at increasing production and purchase and support of our local products, emphasizing that this is how we succeed in developing the industry and trade with a positive impact on a better future for all.
“By buying local products, we help the economy and increase decent employment and national income for the sustainable development of our country,” added Minister Hajdari.
