The Deputy Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mentor Arifaj, attended the conference organized by the Nordic Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, upon the Swedish business delegation’s visit to our country

Deputy Minister Arifaj in his speech highlighted the commitment of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade in improving the climate of doing business in Kosovo, in particular the facilitations created for potential investors in our country.

Arifaj, on this occasion clarified the supplementations made to the legal framework as well as the industrial policy, highlighted in the Progress Report for Kosovo that was published recently by the European Commission.

The industrial policy, 16 laws and 35 by-laws for improving the business climate are already in force, while some other policies and legislative measures are being drafted, all with the aim of improving the business environment.

The Deputy Minister also mentioned the potential that our country has and the advantages it offers in relation to the countries of the region, where in addition to legislation, lower taxes and development policies, he also emphasized the follow-up care for any investors in the Republic of Kosovo.

Deputy Minister Arifaj added that Kosovo is constantly working on developing and expanding cooperation with the countries of the European Union and beyond.
