The fire that engulfed the Plastics Factory in the Business Park in Drenas yesterday caused tremendous material damage, but luckily no human casualties.
The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MIET), and the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA), followed with the highest concern the incident that occurred yesterday in the Business Park in Drenas.
Yesterday, the team members from the Economic Zones sector went to the scene, where they followed the event closely and also met the owner of the plastic factory, Mr. Arian Shabani.
Today, the Acting Director of KIESA, Mr. Zef Dedaj with associates, also visited the scene.
The Plastic Recycling Factory is among the first companies located in the Business Park in Drenas and has made a significant contribution to the production and export of the plastic sector.
The firefighting teams, teams from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo and the Kosovo Police were present at the scene all the time.
The origins of the fire are still unclear.
MIET and KIESA are monitoring the developments and we are cooperating with the authorities to further follow the development of such an event.
