The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Ms. Rozeta Hajdari and the Mayor of Shtime, Mr. Qemajl Aliu, signed the Cooperation Agreement on the Technological Park Project in Shtime.
The purpose of this cooperation agreement is to invest in the implementation of the Technological Park Project in Shtime, as well as to define the obligations of the Ministry and the Municipality for the implementation of this project.
The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Trade will finance the project/contract “Renovation of Physical Infrastructure in the Technological Park in Shtime” within the budgetary limits provided in accordance with the Law on the Budget of the Republic of Kosovo and the Short-Term Expenditure Framework (SHTEF).
The estimated investment value for the renovation of the physical infrastructure of this Technological Park, with an area of 10.70 hectares, will be 179,263.10 Euro for the execution of the contract, which will be funded by the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade.
The physical infrastructure of the Technological Park in Shtime is in need of renovation due to a lack of investment and maintenance of the physical infrastructure since 2008.
Through the new legislative reform and capital investments in the construction of industrial and technological parks, the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade aims to:
– Encourage investments,
– Promote advanced technologies, manufacturing and processing activities, innovation and value-added services,
– Increase employment and training,
– Facilitate employment and training,
– Enhance competitiveness and exports.
