MIET marked the World Standards Day with the theme “Shared Vision for a Better World” organized by the Kosovo Standardization Agency

In her opening speech, Minister Rozeta Hajdari highlighted the significance of standards in promoting a sustainable and innovative economy, as well as the critical role of standardization in improving competitiveness in the Kosovo market.

She noted that standardization is not just a technical process, but also a fundamental tool for ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of products and services we use daily. She added that it plays a decisive role in fostering innovation, facilitating trade, and advancing sustainable development. 

In the meantime, Ms. Qefsere Ajeti, the deputy director of the Standardization Agency, discussed the accomplishments of the Agency and its plans for the near future. 

A panel of stakeholders from different fields discussed key standardization issues, sharing valuable information on the importance of awareness, policies, support tools for businesses, quality infrastructure, accreditation schemes, Eurocodes, benefits for businesses and the Industrial Strategy and Tourism. 

The audience’s engagement during the discussion demonstrated a high level of interest among participants, creating opportunities for information exchange in the field of standardization. 

At the closing of the event, appreciation was expressed to all committee members for their voluntary contributions to the standardization process.
