The Clean Energy Grants Scheme worth 1,000,000 euros with financial contribution from Kosovo's friendly country Luxembourg, will be implemented by the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA) within the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MIET), as part of the support instrument of the KSV/024 project financed by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and implemented by LuxDev in close cooperation with the Ministry of Economy (ME).
“Co-financing and direct financing by international friendly countries in grant schemes from the budget of the Republic of Kosovo, in support of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and start-ups, is a first practice in our good governance, as a result of the significantly improved performance of the KIESA agency system within the framework of MIET, increasing transparency and accountability and strengthening the trust of local enterprises in the principles of fair competition and meritocracy. By promoting transparency, participation and partnership in the development and integration processes of our country, we increase the effectiveness of external assistance from international cooperation agencies that are active in our country, according to the relevant OECD principles (Principles of the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness)'', said Minister Hajdari.
In addition to the excellent work of the KIESA team and the good cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, Minister Hajdari expressed her gratitude to Mr. Eric Dietz and his team, for their close cooperation and dedicated commitment, for the continued great support from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in KIESA's support schemes for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and ''startups''.
On October 5, 2024, on the e-Kosovo platform, MIET/KIESA launched the innovation grant in the amount 1,900,000 euros, with 500,000-euro co-financing from MIET/KIESA and 1, 400,000-euro from LuxDev, in support of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and ''Startups'' with innovative concepts.
On August 4, 2025, on the e-Kosova platform, MIET/KIESA launched a public call for creative industry grants worth 1,450,000 euros, with co-financing of 500,000 euros by MIET/KIESA and 950,000 euros by LuxDev, in support of MSMEs with primary and secondary activities in the key sectors of the creative industry.
In the coming days, the next agreement will be signed between MIET/KIESA and LuX Dev for the dual learning grant scheme worth 1,000,000 euros, with financing from Lux Dev, in support of MSMEs that will contribute to training young people in the necessary professions identified for priority industrial sectors.
"Together with our friendly country Luxembourg, we aim to strengthen innovation ecosystems and equitable economic growth, through the creation of an Innovation Fund that supports Startups, MSMEs and research-driven solutions, encouraging technological progress and sustainable entrepreneurship, strengthening business competitiveness, increasing exports and expanding international trade relations," emphasized Minister Hajdari.
