She emphasized that during this meeting, cooperation opportunities within the framework of the GPEK (Generating Private Sector Employment in Kosovo) project were discussed, as well as the next steps towards reaching a final agreement.
According to the Minister, the GPEK Project, led by SDC, aims to support private companies in Kosovo in transforming their activities towards sustainable practices and environmentally friendly (“green”) policies.
“I expressed my willingness, through this project, to cooperate towards achieving the joint objectives and plans of the Ministry I lead (MIETI) and the project itself, emphasizing the importance of innovation as one of the key areas and the direct impact that such projects have on the country’s economic development,” said Minister Kusari-Lila.
She added that increasing the inclusion of “green” elements aims to make Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Kosovo more competitive in the European market, while simultaneously contributing to increasing employment.
