According to the minister, the information is transparent for all citizens, adding that clear measures have been taken to address any potential violations in relation to the market.
She stated that the Decision of 4 March, which expires on 4 April, on determining the profit margin for businesses, both wholesale and retail, was a necessary and targeted intervention.
She also said that this is the first decision of its kind in the region for temporary price measures, aimed at stopping enormous increases in global crisis situations.
The Minister announced that during this period, around 200 inspections were carried out, in close cooperation between the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, the Competition Authority and the Tax Administration of Kosovo, and from these inspections, 4 violations by economic operators were found, for which punitive measures were imposed in accordance with the legislation in force.
Meanwhile, regarding the supply of fuels, she stated that from January to March we had complete stability, despite the increase in prices, no significant decrease in the quantity of supply was observed.
The Minister emphasized that we do not have a fuel supply crisis in the Republic of Kosovo.
During the discussion, Minister Kusari-Lila emphasized once again that her commitment and that of the institutions remain unchanged: fair market, consumer protection and rapid reaction in any situation that violates the public interest.
