The meeting was opened by the Chairperson of the Professional Council, Mr. Butrint Batalli, who introduced the role of professional standards in the field of industry and beyond. Meanwhile, the Acting General Director of the Kosovo Standardization Agency at MIET, Ms. Valmira Sejdiu, presented the results of 2025 and the work plan for the first half of 2026.
Through the operationalization of the council, the standardization, developmental transformation, increase of the competitiveness, quality and reliability of local products and services are placed at the center. At the same time, this council serves as an innovation catalyst while also accelerating the green transition. Furthermore, through this council, the circular economy is strengthened by enabling a more advanced use of resources and influencing sustainable integration into European and global markets.
