She emphasized that the journey of this sector is related to a commitment of over a decade and a half, from the moment when discussions and work with the Kosovo Wine Association for the export quota of wines to the European Union market first began.
According to her, today Kosovo wines, with proven quality, guaranteed standards and confirmed quality, represent a proof to local production and a worthy ambassador of Kosovo products.
The meeting emphasized that this sector represents a complete value chain, i.e., from cultivation of grape vine, its processing and production, to wine export, thus generating employment and income for many families, especially in rural areas.
Representatives of Bodrumi i Vjetër, Stone Castle, Kosova Wine and Illyrian presented their journey in the Kosovar market and their penetration into international markets, while discussing new projects and opportunities for support from the Ministry for this sector of strategic importance for the country’s economy.
The Minister announced that the export value of Kosovo wines has reached around EUR 1.2 million, proving the growing potential of this sector and the need for further support for expansion in international markets.
Finally, she emphasized that “Made in Kosovo” is being proven every day through the taste and quality of local wines.
