The Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate (IQMT), in cooperation with the Ad Hoc Commission of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation (MINTI), is continuing the action to verify electricity meters every day of the week, responding to each complaint submitted by consumers.
As part of today’s action (Wednesday, 06.05.2026), a total of 9 inspections were carried out in the municipalities of Gjilan and Mitrovica.
From these checks, 3 cases have been placed in the verification procedure at the AMK laboratory, while for the other meters withdrawn by KEDS, they will be required to be brought to the laboratory for verification.
Based on the results, deviations in time and date will be forwarded to KESCO for customer compensation, while for each meter with an expired validity period, IQMT will continue to impose fines on KEDS.
