The Deputy Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Jeton Mehmeti, participated in the activity for the presentation of the survey results and the validation of the opportunities for industrial symbiosis, where the possibilities for strengthening economic development and increasing the competitiveness of the private sector in Kosovo were discussed.
The event emphasized the importance of industrial symbiosis, an approach that enables unused materials or waste from one company to be used as a resource for another company, reducing costs, reducing waste and promoting cooperation between businesses.
Mehmeti assessed that Kosovo has considerable potential in sectors such as the food industry, metal, textile, plastics and information technology, emphasizing that industrial development should be based on innovation, efficiency and better use of resources.
He added that the promotion of cooperation between businesses and the implementation of circular economy practices are key elements for building a greener, more competitive and more sustainable economy in Kosovo.
