The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, hosted the Mayor of the Municipality of Kamenica, Kadri Rahimaj, who was accompanied by the elected member of the Assembly of Kosovo, Ilir Kërçeli, and the Director for Economic Development and Diaspora in the Municipality of Kamenica, Edon Dermaku.
During the meeting, local economic development, opportunities for deepening cooperation between the Municipality of Kamenica and the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, as well as the challenges facing this municipality, were discussed.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that, from the perspective of economic development, the separation of Kamenica and Ranilug during the decentralization process has created difficulties in the administration and management of industrial zones. In this regard, it was assessed that their reorganization and functionalization remain a necessity to promote investments, production and economic development of the Municipality of Kamenica.
Minister Kusari-Lila praised Mayor Rahimaj’s proactive approach in addressing these challenges and finding sustainable solutions for the municipality.
She expressed her readiness for close institutional cooperation and for supporting projects aimed at strengthening industrial infrastructure, creating more favourable conditions for business development and opening new jobs in the Municipality of Kamenica.
