The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation (MIETI), Mimoza Kusari-Lila, attended the farewell party organized for the Swiss Ambassador to Kosovo, Jürg Sprecher, where she extended her gratitude to him for his commitment and contribution to strengthening relations between Kosovo and Switzerland.
Minister Kusari-Lila emphasized that Kosovo and Switzerland share a special partnership, built on trust, cooperation and solidarity, while an important role in strengthening these relations is also played by the Kosovar Diaspora in Switzerland, which constitutes a strong connecting bridge between the two countries.
Kusari-Lila further praised Ambassador Sprecher for his professionalism, open approach and contribution to advancing bilateral cooperation during his mandate in Kosovo.
The Minister recalled that during this period, several important achievements have been recorded in economic cooperation between the two countries. Among them, she highlighted the presentation and approval in the Assembly of the Free Trade Agreement between Kosovo and the EFTA countries, headquartered in Switzerland, which creates new opportunities for trade and investment. She also mentioned the signing of the agreement worth 8 million Swiss francs for the next five years, which will support the green transformation of enterprises in the private sector.
In conclusion, Minister Kusari-Lila thanked Ambassador Sprecher for his friendship and cooperation heretofore, wishing him health and success in his future commitments, as well as emphasizing that Kosovo will always welcome him as a friend.
