The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, together with the Deputy Minister of Defense, Gegë Lleshi, welcomed a delegation from the United States of America to Kosovo, with whom they discussed opportunities for deepening economic cooperation between Kosovo and the USA.
The delegation consisted of Dustin Edward Plantholt, Fadi Elsalameen, William McClure, Doru Borșan, Riad Bouaziz and Lisa Corsa, who bring extensive professional experience in the fields of technology, innovation, digital transformation, business, public administration, local government, insurance, tourism, healthcare, as well as foreign policy and strategic issues.
During the meeting, it was assessed that the exchange of experiences and expertise between this delegation, institutions and businesses in Kosovo could create new opportunities for economic development, partnerships and attracting American investments in these sectors, as well as in other areas with potential for the country.
On this occasion, Minister Kusari-Lila expressed the gratitude of the institutions and the citizens of Kosovo for the continued support of the United States in Kosovo’s journey towards state-building and democratic development. She emphasized that the partnership between the two countries is increasingly taking on an economic dimension, with a focus on investment, innovation, and job creation.
The Minister also presented the Government’s priorities for transforming the country’s economy, through increasing local production, strengthening exports of “Made in Kosovo” products, developing industrial and technological parks, supporting the private sector, and creating an even more favorable environment for foreign investors.
