Regarding the publication of data from the Business Registry of the Republic of Kosovo
The Kosovo Business Registration Agency (KBRA), within its legal mandate and responsibilities for the administration of the Business Register of the Republic of Kosovo, informs citizens, businesses, institutions and all interested parties that the publication of data from the Business Register is carried out in full compliance with the legislation in force of the Republic of Kosovo.
The Business Registry is a public registry, created and administered to guarantee the transparency of economic activity, legal certainty in commercial circulation and to enable access to information that, according to the law, is of a public nature.
The publication of data is based on the provisions of Law No. 06/L-016 on Commercial Companies, specifically in Article 22 of this Law. The processing and publication of data is carried out in accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection, respecting the principles of legality, proportionality, transparency and data minimization.
KBRA emphasizes that it publishes only those data that the legislation defines as public data. Personal data or other information that is not intended for publication is protected and treated in accordance with the requirements of the legislation on the protection of personal data and does not become part of public access.
The purpose of publishing data is to increase the transparency and reliability of doing business, to facilitate the verification of the legal status of business entities, to strengthen legal certainty in economic and commercial relations, and to fulfill the legal obligations of the KRA for the administration of an accurate, up-to-date and accessible public register.
KBRA remains committed to the professional and transparent administration of the Business Registry, ensuring the balance between the public interest in access to information and the protection of the rights of registered entities, in accordance with the Constitution and applicable legislation of the Republic of Kosovo.
The Agency invites all institutions, businesses and citizens, when using the public data of the Business Registry, to use them in accordance with the legislation in force and only for lawful purposes, while respecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of natural and legal persons.
KBRA remains committed to strictly implementing legal obligations, increasing transparency and accountability to the public, and ensuring that every process is carried out in full compliance with applicable legislation, while strictly respecting the legitimate rights of citizens and institutional legal obligations for the protection of personal data.
