The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Jeton Mehmeti, has emphasized the importance of Dual Education for the development of young people’s professional skills and their connection to the labor market.
Mehmeti said that Dual Education is more than an education model, as it connects school with the workplace, theory with practice, and the skills of young people with the real needs of the economy. He emphasized that MIETI is trying to support this approach through industrial development policies.
According to him, it is necessary to change the way vocational education is viewed, emphasizing that a good profession brings knowledge, independence, dignity and opportunities for building a successful career.
“Every young person who learns a profession today can become a sought-after professional tomorrow, create their own business, employ others and contribute to the development of Kosovo,” said Mehmeti.
He emphasized that in addition to investments in industry, technology, innovation and modern infrastructure, the most important investment remains investment in people.
“Investments create capacity. Enterprises create value. But people create development,” said Deputy Minister Mehmeti.
Mehmeti assessed that Dual Education should be one of the strongest bridges between economic development and the future of young people, so that they can acquire the knowledge, profession and skills to build their own future.
The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce and LuxDev for their continued commitment and support in the development of Dual Education and the creation of more opportunities for young people.
