The interest of foreign companies in the investment opportunities offered by Kosovo is increasing, including companies from countries in the region, Middle East and Asia.
The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, hosted yesterday at MIETI a delegation composed of businesses from Lebanon, Turkey, Romania and the United Arab Emirates.
The joint meeting was attended by representatives of companies from various sectors, as part of a delegation organized by the “Strategic Group”, led by Arianit Shehu.
The participating companies operate in various fields, including energy, agriculture, tourism, assembly of metal structures, technology, engineering and other sectors.
This meeting discussed the industrial transformation that is intended to be carried out in Kosovo and the concrete opportunities that the country offers to foreign investors. There were also presented the investments that MIETI is planning in the development of industrial parks in several municipalities of Kosovo, aiming at increasing local production and creating appropriate infrastructure for business development and attracting new investments.
Kosovo is increasingly seen as a destination with potential for investment, among other things, due to the approximation of policies with European Union standards, young population, qualified workforce and attractive fiscal policies.
At the meeting, it was assessed that the increase in interest from international companies creates new opportunities for expanding investments, developing new sectors and creating jobs.
The institutions of the Republic of Kosovo remain committed to further strengthening the investment climate, increasing security and confidence for investors and creating appropriate conditions for local and foreign companies that intend to develop their activities in Kosovo.
