The Deputy Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Jeton Mehmeti, participated in the discussion organized by Riinvest on the topic “Bridging the Gap: Kosovo’s Path to EU Living Standards”, where he spoke about the factors that influence the Kosovo’s economic development and its approximation to European standards.
Mehmeti emphasized that narrowing the gap with European standards requires building a more productive, competitive economy that is better connected to European markets. In this regard, he highlighted the importance of increasing productivity, innovation, investment, and human capital development.
According to Deputy Minister Mehmeti, European convergence is not only related to markets and standards, but also to creating opportunities for citizens to benefit from these processes and utilize their potential in a more competitive economy.
The discussion addressed Kosovo’s path towards improving living standards and the economic factors that can contribute to this process.
