The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, participated in the UK Business Forum in Kosovo, alongside Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the UK Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves.
The forum, organized by the Council of European Investors, brought together businesses, investors, and institutional partners from both countries, focusing on concrete opportunities for investment, partnerships, and job creation.
Minister Kusari-Lila emphasized that the United Kingdom remains one of Kosovo’s strategic industrial and trade partners, noting the significant potential for further deepening this relationship.
According to her, Kosovo offers several elements sought by investors, including a young and dynamic workforce, a new generation of entrepreneurs, proximity to the European market, a competitive fiscal climate, and access to new markets through trade agreements—including the Free Trade Agreement with EFTA.
Kusari-Lila emphasized that for British investors, these opportunities mean not only access to a new market but also the chance to manufacture in Kosovo, export more easily to European markets, and build partnerships that can expand beyond Kosovo’s borders.
British interest in investing in Kosovo is growing. Currently, 388 British-owned companies operate in Kosovo, while British investments have risen from €17.9 million in 2024 to €24 million in 2025. According to Minister Kusari-Lila, this positive trend has continued into 2026.
In this regard, she emphasized that the potential for cooperation between Kosovo and the United Kingdom should not be measured solely by investment figures, but also by the forging of new business ties, the opening of new markets for Kosovar companies, and the creation of greater opportunities for the flow of capital, ideas, and people in both directions.
