Minister Mimoza Kusari-Lila hosted an introductory meeting with the European Union Ambassador to Kosovo, Mr. Dirk Schuebel, where they discussed the EU Growth Plan and the opportunities it provides for economic development, strengthening competitiveness, and further integration of Kosovo into the European market.

Also, the SAA, EFTA, and CEFTA agreements were a topic of discussion, alongside institutional efforts to facilitate trade and labour mobility, including issues relating to work permits and visas, support for innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as the development of industrial parks and manufacturing capacities.

The minister noted that they also discussed IPA projects and the importance of strengthening the capacities of the Ministry to implement reforms that accelerate Kosovo’s integration into the European single market.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Schuebel’s message was clear: “You are moving in the right direction. And the right direction is Europe!”

Kusari-Lila stressed that this is precisely what we are working towards: to ensure that economic reforms, trade, production, and entrepreneurship translate into more opportunities for our businesses and citizens, thereby bringing Kosovo even closer to Europe.
