The Deputy Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Jeton Mehmeti, addressed the participants of the 67th Congress of the European Organization for Quality (EOQ), which is being held in Kosovo, emphasizing the importance of quality for business development, increased competitiveness and the expansion of local products in European and international markets.
Mehmeti assessed that organizing this congress in Kosovo creates opportunities for the exchange of experiences and the development of international partnerships in the field of quality, entrepreneurship and innovation. He emphasized that quality is essential for building consumer trust and strengthening the position of businesses in the market.
The congress is discussing topics related to artificial intelligence, digital transformation, business innovation and future skills, as well as ethics, sustainability and the improvement of public and health services.
Mehmeti announced that the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation is working on strengthening quality infrastructure, advancing innovation legislation, establishing the Innovation Fund, developing industrial parks and protecting industrial property. These commitments aim to create conditions for ideas and creativity to be transformed into quality products and services and more competitive businesses.
The Deputy Minister expressed his gratitude towards UBT, European Organization for Quality, and Quality Kosovo for the organization and cooperation. This edition also marks the 70th anniversary of EOQ and the 20th anniversary of Quality Kosovo.
