200 newly graduated students were awarded certificates for undertaking an internship

To above 200 newly graduated students are delivered certificates for their three month internship in various companies of Kosovo private sector.

The certificates was awarded from the KIESA’s General Director Besian Mustafa, the Employment Agency’s General Director Drin Haraqia, and UNDP’s Permanent Resident Representative and Programme Coordinator in Kosovo, Ms. Valbona Bogujevci.

This was achieved through the Internship Programme supported by the Ministry of Trade and Industry and its Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA), the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare and its Employment and the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP).

During the Certificate’s awarding ceremony, KIESA’s General Director, Mr. Besian Mustafa, informed participants about the objectives on supporting this program. "It is the third year in a roll that KIESA, in cooperation with UNDP and MLSW, is implementing the Internship at Work' program. KIESA has started this project with a dual objective: the objective of economic development where, on the one hand, students transfer their academic knowledge to SMEs and at the same time SMEs transfer operational and technical knowledge to these students, “said Mr. Mustafa.

Ms. Valbona Bogujevci from UNDP and Mr.Drin Haraqia from the Employment Agency of Kosovo addressed the participants in a greeting speech.

The Internship programme aims to give unemployed job seekers recently graduated in higher education institutions the opportunity to do a 3-month internship in private sector enterprises to support sustainable employment in Kosovo.
