Minister Mrs. Rozeta Hajdari and her staff warmly welcomed the Minister of Tourism of Israel, Mr. Haim Katz, at the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade.
During this meeting, the two counterpart ministers signed a Joint Declaration between the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade and the Ministry of Tourism of the State of Israel for cooperation in the area of tourism. The aim of this declaration is to strengthen the relationship between the two countries by assisting in the development of tourism in accordance with the principles of mutual respect and equality.
Minister Hajdari stated that this is an exceptional opportunity to explore many new areas of cooperation, including participation in exhibitions, fairs, conferences and other events that will promote the natural attractions and culture of both countries.
The Joint Declaration also provides for the exchange of information on innovation and digitalization in tourism and expertise with the aim of creating a sustainable partnership with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as startups operating in the tourism industry. It also includes the exchange of data and statistics to enhance the travel experience for both countries.
Triggering the institutional cooperation between National Tourism Authorities and promoting direct cooperation between travel agencies and other institutions in the area of tourism is also of particular importance.
Furthermore, the Joint Declaration also encourages cooperation within the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and other international organizations related to tourism, as well as in the area of tourism education, promoting the exchange of relevant information to facilitate practical experience exchange in education, training and learning, with a special emphasis on skills development and requalification.
