The Minister of Trade and Industry, Vesel Krasniqi, together with the market inspectors, have inspected some businesses to see closely how much the decisions for the division of animal by-products and vegetable by-products are being respected.
During the visit paid to the businesses, the Minister explained the decision in detail.
"We are here together with the market inspectors to see closely to what degree is being implemented our decision regarding the physical division of vegetable by-products and animal by-products. We have visited three large markets, and in each market we have encountered irregularities. As for the physical divisions, in all these places, the products were not divided as we requested", declared Minister Krasniqi.
Krasniqi said that during these inspections, frauds were found in the declaration of the product, in which case measures were taken against the markets.
"We have found products with the description cheese, and in fact their content is vegetable. Thus, in this case, the inspectors have obliged the markets to remove these products which are placed in a fraudulent manner", said Krasniqi.
Today, inspectors have encountered some products that were placed on the shelves against what the decision provides.
