The Kosovo Metrology Agency (KMK), namely the Verification Commission for Electricity Meters established by the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation (MINTI), after laboratory verification of 16 electricity meters of consumers who have filed complaints, found a number of irregularities.
According to the verification results, in 6 cases it was found that the electricity meters had expired verification deadlines, while in 6 other cases deviations in time and date were identified. Also, in one case it was found that the approval of the type of electricity meter was revoked, while 3 other meters continue to be in the laboratory verification procedure.
Based on these findings, the Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate (IQMT) has imposed a fine on KEDS in the amount of 35 thousand euros.
