Another milestone in the digitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises in Kosovo

Today, the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Ms. Rozeta Hajdari, along with the Ambassador of Austria to Kosovo, Mr. George Schnetzer, and the teams from KIESA and ADA agencies, celebrated another success in the digitalization of 29 small and medium-sized enterprises – 50% of which are owned by women.

Minister Hajdari emphasized that the Digitalization Grant Scheme, supported by the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade through the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA) in collaboration with the EnInGeP project, funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), will provide beneficiary enterprises with a range of opportunities to enhance performance, drive innovation, boost productivity, and compete on a more equal basis in both local and international markets.

In an era where digitalization and innovation are the main drivers of economic growth, the 29 beneficiary enterprises of this scheme will have the opportunity to benefit from advanced services in the following areas:

• Digital Marketing,

• Human Resources,

• E-commerce and online sales platforms,

• Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and

• Business Process Automation and Optimization.

This is the second phase of the EnInGeP project, which includes the Digital Empowerment Initiative component. In the first phase, 33 other enterprises have already benefited.

Minister Hajdari stated that the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MIET), with its sound policies and supportive instruments, is dedicated to unleashing the potential of local enterprises, which are the main drivers for economic, social, and environmental development in our country.

In this regard, the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency, under the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MIET), will launch the next round of calls for financial support to local enterprises at the beginning of the year. The support will focus on digitalization, innovation, technology advancement, standardization, and certification to enhance their competitiveness and integration into the international market.
