The acting Minister, Ms. Rozeta Hajdari, welcomed the Arbëresh delegation from Calabria, represented by Ms. Anna Madeo, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Calabria, Mr. Giuliano Conforti, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of San Giorgio Albanese, representing all the Arbëresh Municipalities of Calabria, Ms. Aurelia Sprovieri from the Municipality of San Giorgio Albanese, Father Sorin Hagi Ilie, Priest of the Church of Saint Mary of Constantinople in Vaccarizzo Albanese and the organizer of the Arbëresh Wine Competition, Mr. Pier Paolo Olivito, Journalist at Calabrianews24 and representative of the Regional Agency for the Agricultural Development of Calabria (ARSAC) and Mr. Pino Mariani, Representative of the Italian Trade Association Coldiretti and Wine Producer.
In this meeting with Minister Hajdari and MIET officials – Ms. Lumturije Geci from the Department of Tourism and Mr. Zef Dedaj from KIESA, opportunities for cooperation in the fields of natural and cultural tourism, crafts, innovation and entrepreneurship were discussed, through the organization of tourism missions, joint fairs and networking events between businesses from Kosovo and Calabria.
The meeting was fruitful, with agreement reached on the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between KIESA and ARSAC, with a focus on developing joint projects of common interest in culture, tourism, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Through the organization of the Department of Tourism within the framework of MIET, the Arbëresh delegation will also meet other stakeholders from ministries and municipalities of Kosovo and will participate in HardhFest in Rahovec.
The active participation of Arbëresh winemakers in future editions of HardhFest will serve as an added value in promoting this ancient national tradition.
