On behalf of Minister Rozeta Hajdari, the Chief of Cabinet of MIET, Mrs. Arjeta Shaqiri Latifi, thanked them for the invitation and for organizing the competition for the teams of young entrepreneurs, who had the opportunity to be part of the business incubator in Venture Up.
Mrs. Shaqiri Latifi stressed that MIET considers innovation as an important field for the development of entrepreneurship and that it directly affects the economic and social development of the country.
In this context, Mrs. Shaqiri Latifi informed the participants about the objectives of MIET in the field of innovation, with impact on industry sectors, which are:
– Consolidation of clear public policies to promote and develop industrial innovation, increase competitiveness, increase exports, and generates new jobs.
– Strengthening the triangular cooperation between policy-making, the private sector and academia.
– General investments and incentives in research and development of innovative ideas and projects.
– Initiation of programs for raising professional competencies or training of the workforce in relation to the needs of the market.
– Promotion of the potential for development of priority sectors, through the transformation of the traditional economy into digital and creative economies such as:
Information Technology and Communication Sector, digitalization of services;
Product processing industry and the advancement of processing technologies;
Innovations for the development of tourism and manufacturing, processing and service industries.
The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade will continue to launch the grant schemes for supporting ideas and innovative projects, start-up businesses and innovative entrepreneurs.
In conclusion, on behalf of Minister Rozeta Hajdari and MIET staff, Mrs. Shaqiri Latifi wished success to the young people who will be part of this competition and encouraged them to participate as much as possible in such activities, in order to be trained and gain new knowledge for being successful in their professions.
