CIMS in Zubin Potok: Illegal business closed, products confiscated and a fine of 6,000 euros imposed for serving alcohol to minors

As part of the ongoing market surveillance throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, the Central Inspectorate of Market Surveillance (CIMS), during recent inspections in the Municipality of Zubin Potok, has taken measures against economic operators that have acted in violation of the law.

During these inspections, CIMS closed down a business that was operating without registration with the Kosovo Business Registration Agency (KBRA), confiscated products without declarations of origin, and imposed a fine of 6,000 euros on another economic operator that had served alcoholic beverages to minors.

These actions are part of the commitment of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation (MIETI) to protect consumers and ensure a safe, transparent and fair market for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.

CIMS calls on all economic operators to ensure the proper registration of their activities with the KBRA, to trade only in products with the relevant documentation, and to comply with all legal provisions governing the conduct of economic activities.

CIMS will continue regular inspections and surveillance throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, with the aim of identifying and addressing any violations that undermine consumer rights and market safety.
