Following publication of the article, “SCANDAL | MIET – Rozeta Hajdari and the evaporation of 195 thousand Euros” on the Kosova Live portal, the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA) explains as follows:
In 2022, MIET/KIESA arranged the participation of Kosovo in the Fruitattraction fair in Madrid, Spain, and planned the participation of companies from Kosovo.
However, because of Kosovo’s visa regime in 2022, only a few companies from Kosovo managed to participate in the fair, so the article is wrong in saying that there was no participation at all.
Nevertheless, the KIESA addressed the director responsible for the promotion of investment and export to the MIET’s Disciplinary Committee for the delay in addressing the visas on time, as well as for other issues related to fairs, resulting in the director’s dismissal.
