The fourth “UP Career” edition took place today in the National Library of Kosovo “Pjeter Bogdani”, which was organized by the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”, namely the Career Development Center.
Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mr. Mentor Arifaj, stated that youth is the most valuable asset we have, and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo has therefore supported and is supporting young people through various policies and mechanisms, mentioning the promotion of businesses started by young people, such as start-ups and any other innovative initiative leading to the development of an enabling and supportive ecosystem for them.
The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade allocated 6 million euro in the last two years (from the Kosovo Budget) for the Innovation and Training Park in Prizren stretched in a territory of 40 hectares, and provided an area of 3930m2 for the Business Incubator in Bernica of Prishtina, added Arifaj.
Deputy Minister Arifaj also emphasized the investment that MINT made in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, with an area of 1000m2, within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The total investment of 1,000,000 euro (one million euro) includes the last phase of investments in the amount of150,000 euro (one hundred and fifty thousand euro) that will be implemented through the cooperation agreement signed at the beginning of this year, for investments in the adaptation of common space for young entrepreneurs, as well as for establishing structured cooperation between academia and industry.
