Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade Mr. Mentor Arifaj and Acting Director General of KIESA, Mr. Zef Dedaj, accompanied by the Ambassador of Kosovo to Sweden, Mrs. Shkendije Geci Sherifi, met with representatives from the Swedish Innovation Agency Vinnova.
The meeting was held as part of of activities organized by the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA) during the Stockholm Furniture Fair in Sweden, attended by ten Kosovo companies.
At the meeting, the representatives of MIET/KIESA and Vinnova agreed for cooperation and for the support of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade to develop instruments aimed at supporting and promoting innovation at the level of businesses through KIESA.
Sweden is among the leading innovation countries in the European Union countries, hence it is essential for Kosovo to benefit from best practices of the Swedish Innovation Agency, especially in terms of how innovative business concepts are supported by Vinnova through grant schemes.
This meeting brought reflections that will be examined for the best possible finalization of the MIET’s Law on Innovation and Entrepreneurship based on best international practices.
