The Deputy Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mentor Arifaj, participated today in the workshop organized by MINT, with the support of the GIZ Project “EU4Business: Support for Regional Economic Integration”, where the Technical Legal Framework covering Machinery, respectively Strengthening the local market through technical regulations and market supervision.
In this workshop, Arifaj, in his introductory speech, spoke about the clarification of the path for the harmonization and implementation of legislation on the areas of technical legislation for non-food products, which is an essential part for the development and operation of the Quality Infrastructure.
"The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade in the process of European Integration, more precisely in the Process of Stabilization and Association, is committed to the full functionalization of the Quality Infrastructure and the strengthening of all its components", said Arifaj.
Further, it was said that technical assistance is also being offered through the GIZ Project - Open Regional Fund for Foreign Trade (ORF FT) as support for regional economic integration, where all the pillars of Quality Infrastructure (Metrology, Standardization, Accreditation), the regulatory authority and the Central Inspectorate for Market Surveillance in Kosovo.
At the end, Arifaj expressed his thanks for the continuous and very important help that the European Union has continuously provided in all areas for strengthening the institutions of our country and the private sector.
