Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Arbëreshë Krasniqi participated in the opening of the factory “Arkos”, an Italian company, in the Business Park in Drenas.
Krasniqi said that the opening of this factory is good news for Kosovo, because it is proving that the Government of Kosovo, namely the Ministry of Trade and Industry is creating conditions for foreign investors.
"We are working hard to create more favourable conditions, which through the Law on Strategic Investment have made it easier to invest in Kosovo, because procedures have been simplified and time has been shortened to get the strategic investor status. For MTI it is very important the start of this factory because it is affecting Kosova's economic development and opening up new jobs," said Krasniqi.
The Deputy Minister thanked the Italian state for Kosovo's support, both before and after the war.
"Italy is one of the countries that has helped Kosovo to consolidate its citizenship, and the opening of this factory shows that Italy continues to witness friendship with Kosovo in economic terms as well."
Krasniqi said that anyone who has Kosovo today on its map to invest can count on a market that spans more than 10 million people because Kosovo has built modern highways that are related to neighbouring states.
She also mentioned the youth, which according to her, are very innovative and they learn the work quickly.
"Kosovo has a very innovative youth, who learn the work very quickly, and almost all of them speak English, which is a priority."
The Deputy Minister said that the construction of Economic Zones that is being made by MTI proves that conditions are created for foreign and local businesses.
"The Ministry of Trade and Industry is creating conditions through physical infrastructure, such as the construction of the Economic Zones, in which zone is also located the company 'Arkos', and the legal infrastructure, which is already completed with the Law on Strategic Investments," said Krasniqi.
