Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Arbëreshë Krasniqi, said that the Business Park in Drenas will increase for 30 hectares, creating the best conditions for local and foreign businesses.
Krasniqi said that taking into account the increased demand from domestic and foreign businesses, MTI has initiated the expansion of the business park.
Krasniqi, at the International Business Workshop for the Development of the New Industrial Zone in Drenas, announced that during this mandate, MTI has set the conditions to provide businesses with modern infrastructure that enables businesses to operate easier and open the new jobs.
"Economic zones serve for easier access to the highway, water, electricity, and infrastructure. We have announced 9 areas, and in the Business Park in Drenas, in the second part MTI has started the construction project and is a 30-hectare project, and all investments are from MTI ", said Krasniqi.
"MTI together with MESP and the Ministry of Finance has recorded and completed the expropriation of the economic area in Drenas, this area covers the area of 61 hectares and is later reduced where the National Stadium will be built, and now this area is expected to have about 30 hectare. The project foresees capital investments and construction of a vocational training centre," said Krasniqi.
The Deputy Minister stressed that by completing economic zones, Kosovo is creating conditions for foreign and local investors, which at the same time reduces their cost due to the small rent that have these areas.
"Also, the construction of the economic zone in Malisheva will start soon, which is especially dedicated for Diaspora businesses, which for the first time are being offered concrete conditions, which has not happened before," Krasniqi said.
She also announced that Skenderaj will soon start building a business incubator and will have other investments as well.
