The Deputy Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mentor Arifaj, participated in the Economic Forum between the European Union and six countries of the Western Balkans, organized by the Czech Presidency
In the discussion panel on the topic "Green and Digital Transition", Deputy Minister Arifaj emphasized the challenges we face during the implementation of digital projects and green agenda, as well as increasing the support of businesses through support for digitization and the provision of digital services.
He emphasized that despite the potential that has our country for investment and innovation, the lack of visa liberalization for our citizens is also a barrier. Also, he used the opportunity to ask the Czech Republic, as chair of the EU Presidency, to support the Republic of Kosova, for the successful completion of this process.
During his stay at the Economic Forum, together with the ambassador of Kosovo to the Czech Republic, Albesjana Iberhysaj, Deputy Minister Arifaj held a bilateral meeting with representatives of the Czech Government, in which case he discussed about the cooperation of two governments and they agreed to work closely during the next year for advancing cooperation at the level of the joint Economic Forum.
At the forum were present Delegations from Western Balkans countries, including officials from governments and municipalities, officials from EU institutions, representatives from financial institutions, representatives from the Czech government and municipalities, as well as representatives from the business sector.
