Deputy Prime Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade Mentor Arifaj participated in opening the competition for Start-ups from Kosova as part of regional Uplift Western Balkans Accelerator Program, organized from Venture UP in cooperation with ICTSmedia from Albania and ICan from North Macedonia.
Deputy Prime Minister Arifaj, in his speech said that these activities are welcomed for strengthening the regional cooperation, encouraging joint innovative activities and that changes in business models will have a direct impact on the creation and gradual growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
"Taking into consideration the changes that are taking place in the processes of global social and economic developments, where the digitalization of services has turned out to be an essential indicator in raising the performance of businesses, then it would be good for young people to place their interests towards technology and innovation, to be successful first in their professions, skills and then in their businesses" added Deputy Minister Arifaj.
In the end, Deputy Minister Arifaj emphasized that he is working closely with all partners of the innovation ecosystem in the drafting of clear policies, which are based on the priorities of Kurti Government.
The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade will continue with the launch of grant-schemes for the support of innovative ideas and projects, of start-up businesses and is committed to the full functioning of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centres, such as the Faculty's laboratories of Mechanical Engineering, the Innovation and Training Park in Prizren, as well as the full functionalization of other centres for innovation and entrepreneurship in all regions of Kosovo.
